Quote Of The Day:
“But music is reflection of self, we just explain it, and then we get our checks in the mail.”
Make Money In Your Sleep
Affiliate marketing is probably the most powerful way to make money online in this day and age. Skip building the business, just promoting a business can lead you to a place of financial freedom. You can literally get paid to show off the songs that you create using these free vocal presets.
Baywood Audio just launched an affiliate program that allows you to make money by sharing their products with others. The coolest part is that their products sell like hot cakes, and really do help artists tremendously. Check it out here, or click on that big beautiful "B" above.

Where You Should Be Investing Your Money As An Artist
Often we see artists with this heavy fixation on paying sketchy websites to push their music to Spotify playlists, but truthfully this is not the key to building a consistent listener base! The issue with playlists is that most Spotify users are listening idly. This means that many of these listeners are simply spending time with friends and playing some background music, at the gym, on a road trip, etc. These users are not typically paying all that much attention to your song, therefore the odds of them saving your track... are slim to none.
What if I told you that you could be reaching hundreds, even thousands of playlists by organically marketing your song by running Facebook ads? Yes I know it might sound a little cringy but here's the reality; you're a business, and businesses run ads. Facebook happens to be a data giant that can put your song in front of targeted individuals that actually enjoy your style of music!
(As you may have already gathered from the title, this will cost some money! Even $5 a day can make a huge difference!)
But enough of that, let me show you results from someone who has actually done this, (me!)
Here's a direct visual of my Distrokid account. Notice that the song is nearing 93k streams and has made me $203.69. Prior to running ads, the song had been out for a couple of months and I truly only ran the ads as a test and a learning experience in general. The song had a few hundred streams at the time. To tell you the truth, the learning experience wasn't really needed, as Facebook ads are super simple to set up (at least this ad style is.)
I spent a total of $200 over a week and a half which landed my song on Spotify's curated playlist "Discover Weekly." I also reached over 1400 user-curated playlists as well, causing me to consistently gain streams to this day. If we were able to reach this many playlists adds you can only imagine the number of saves the track garnered as well. Understand that most people do not take the time to clear up their saved songs, who truly has the time for all that? You will forever remain in their shuffle!

Sound Like The Top Artists In The Game
Look I know I'm talking about Baywood Audio quite a bit today but deal with it, everything they make is sick...
Imagine if you could switch from J Cole-type vocals to Lil Tjay, to Gunna, all in a matter of seconds. Well with this new preset bundle you can... This bundle of 45 vocal presets allows you to switch back and forth between most of the popular industry sounds from alternative hip-hop, rap, pop, and more. The best thing is that if you hate it you can simply request a refund, no questions.
Artist of the week: Guardin
I know what you're thinking... This dude has a pretty sick artist name, am I right? Yes, but seriously, if you like even an ounce of sad boy music then Guardin is your guy. The remarkable thing about Guardin is he's completely independent while bolstering 800k+ monthly listeners on Spotify due to the cult following he built over the years.
Guardin dug out of the underground Soundcloud scene by amassing over 80m streams on his hit single "I think you're really cool."
The most interesting part of it all is that the song was created with minimal effort on the production side consisting of just two notes on the ukulele and Guardin's catchy hook/voice.
This is someone to watch out for!

Freestyle Friday: Russ
How in the world did they pick such a perfect beat for Russ to spit on? Seriously it's almost like they constructed this freestyle perfectly, no joke.
Notable Lyrics:
It's not a day that I don't show up, I don't need to stand in/
Haters see me walk on water, say it's cuz I can't swim/
Y'all wonder why y'all can't win, look at how you think/
So if you can't be the captain you want all of us to sink/
How is this man not top 5 yet? From business to music, this dude is a genius. If you're not following the Russ business model you're insane...
