Hmm, I've never seen anything like this. Drake drops an album and completely takes over the charts? That has never happened in history... Seriously though, it's insane that an artist can literally selectively just take over the charts. Do you think he sits there with his friends and argues about which songs will be in the top 3 & in what order? When this man drops a project there really is nothing else to talk about.

This here proves we live in a simulation. Why is drake literally top 3 on the EDM charts? At this point, I don't think they filter by genre on the Spotify charts...LOL

Speaking of EDM, Jordan Baywood dropped an absolute banger called "The Vibe" yesterday. Although he's my arch-nemesis I have to give him some credit, he made a banger. To my surprise, it is actually blowing up on Spotify, check it out!

Have you watched the new season of Stranger Things? I thought it was pretty good so far but I haven't watched the entire thing yet. Why am I writing this as if we're conversing or something? Anywho, you know that super vintage-sounding song that's played throughout the new season? That song is literally exploding right now, I mean EXPLODING! The first month of stranger things being out Kate Bush literally made nearly $1M off of just Spotify streams alone! So how did kate do such a thing?

Well, it's actually simple, a billion-dollar company called Netflix put it on their biggest series ever. Ok, you weren't looking for this answer, I know, but let me explain what your music really is!

Your music is an asset - Understand that Kate Bush's song "Running Up That Hill" literally came out in the 80s. Let's really think about this, a song from 30-something years ago literally just made Kate Bush a superstar again. Something that you drop today might do the same exact thing! You MUST be dropping music in 2022 and beyond. There's no more, "well I don't have the money to market my music right now." DROP THAT S*IT BRO! The more music that you have online, the more real estate that you take up.

You are a vending machine - When someone owns a vending machine or an ATM you know they probably live nowhere near it. They don't clean it, service it, fix it, nothing. They have other people doing that! Your song is a vending machine without the upkeep! You literally post it, people listen for 100s of years, that's it! You are literally printing money when you drop a song. Maybe you won't see this money for some years, but it will come! If you're willing to invest in stocks, you should be willing to invest in your music. Look at Kate, after 37 years her vending machine suddenly made her millions!

Now that we know this, let's talk about how you should release for maximum efficiency!

Don't Release Music Until You Read This...

First off, you are not that guy buddy - Stop dropping albums. Dropping albums with no fan base is like fighting a piece of drywall. What in the world is your problem? We need to start with a couple of singles, let's not be so complicated okay? We live in a fast-food society now and people aren't even able to get through their favorite artist's album let alone yours.

Why should I drop singles? - Well I think you already know! Singles are simply easier to digest. Singles are the segway between the artist and the fan connection. First impressions usually tend to be quick, right? Your first impression with a potential fan simply cannot be an entire project, it's too hard to listen to!

Singles provide more content - Dropping singles provides more opportunities to tell your story and truly connect with your audience. Sure, you could always create content around each individual track on your 12-song album, but who has the time for that? If you can create a great story behind one single it will be much more powerful than telling 12 stories that are hard to follow.

Algorithms - When it comes to this music stuff, algorithms are literally your best friend. How do you think these songs are getting 500,000,000 streams? This is simply because these artists are running HUGE marketing campaigns within the first month of that song coming out. The more fuel you put behind the initial fire, the longer and stronger the fire will be. You might hit a Spotify algorithm that lands you on some of the largest playlists in the world. This is ultimately easier when you focus on marketing one single at a time.
